Lodging
Where to stay
When making reservations, make sure you plan time not just for the wedding, but for any extra activities!
camping/rv
- Trail Head Bed and Breakfast - If you are in the rustic spirit, then why not just set up a tent? Our hosts for the wedding have a large area of land that you are free to set up your own campsite free of charge. RV's and trailers are welcome as well, but there are no hookups or utilities available here. The restrooms in the B&B are not available to campers. We will have port-a-potties on site
- Elk Meadows RV Park - Located just North of Trout Lake, this RV part has full and partial hookups available for the "rigs" that need them. While we can't give it a personal recommendation, it seems to get good reviews.
- Mt. Adams County Park (a.k.a Guler-Trout Lake Park) - This county park has full hookups, but is first come first serve. We are off season, and if you get there on Thursday you should be okay.
hotels and motels
- Trout Lake Motel - A motel by definition, but it sure looks like this one has been done up quite nicely. It has very good reviews.
bed and breakfasts
- Kelly's Trout Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast - Here is a review.
- The Farm, A B&B
- Llama Ranch Bed & Breakfast
hood river
There is an abundance of motels, hotels, and B&Bs to stay at in Hood River, Oregon and White Salmon, Washington (just across the bridge from Hood River). It is about a 45 minute drive (and a $0.75 bridge toll) from downtown Hood River to Trout Lake and the site of the wedding. All of the wedding-day activities will take place in Trout Lake. The pre-wedding activities will take closer too, or in Hood River. A good starting place to look for lodging in the area is this Google link. Please feel free to ask us any questions and we will do our best to answer them.
transportation
While there will be abundant parking at the Trailhead B&B, we welcome people to try to carpool as much as possible. There will be a 15-person shuttle available from 9pm to 12am for those who'd like to leave earlier than their companions, or for those who imbibe a little too much. This shuttle will go as far as Hood River, with stops as needed along the way. Of course, we encourage designated drivers for all guests whenever possible. Please contact Bill or Meg if you have questions or would like to arrange a ride with another guest.site info
